Cervical spinal stenosis usually occurs in people over 50, due to the over work of ligaments and cartilage.
Symptoms of cervical spinal stenosis are stiffness and numbness in limbs, problems with balance and possible incontinence. Medicine can usually control the mild cases of cervical spinal stenosis, whereas surgery may be needed for severe cases.

How to give yourself a neck massage

If you spend a good deal of time in front of a computer or even a TV then your neck is bound to get sore. There are many things that can help with a sore neck but one of the best is to give your self a neck massage.

I know that it sounds strange to give your self a massage but it can be done and I am sure that there is times when no one is around to rub your neck. So get some massage oil and loosen your collar.

It doesn’t matter which side you start your neck massage. Put one hand firmly on the back of your neck and with a slow deliberation pull the hand and then push the hand back and forth for about 4 times. Now try it with the other hand. You may have to put some more oil on your hands at this point.

Now cup one your hands and push the fingertips into the sides of the neck. The pressure that you put should depend on how sore your neck is. Now continue to push your fingertips as you move from one side of the neck to another. Do these steps several times. Make sure to apply pressure evenly across the neck. This should relieve the neck pain.

At this point you should feel the muscles loosen in your neck.

The best thing about this massage is you can do it almost anywhere (it will even work without the massage oil)
